ABOUT
ONIRIZ
Hey there! Thank you for landing on this page. Here, I will introduce myself and the concept of Oniriz, discuss the key principles, how it all started, and why it matters to me and hopefully to future Oniriz users. My name is Vilmantas, and I am from Lithuania. My former work experience has nothing to do with IT projects. I have worked in the field of accounting for over a decade. If you want to know more about me, let’s connect via LinkedIn.
How it started
I am a big fan of companies that are Mission and Vision driven. It was important for me to understand the values of the companies I worked for (or currently work in). However, a shift has happened, where some companies declare one thing and act against their own values, and try to influence people’s political views when their activity is not related to media and politics.
One day, I was playing a Cyberpunk game (good, influential, inspiring game), and once I finished the game, I was shocked. The game-play ending was not even close to a fairy tale. It felt like corrupt politics and corporations are on the winning side, and even when people or society hate them, they still can’t do anything since corporations are extremely effective and almost uncontrollable with the wealth they manage.
I thought, in a brand consuming era, we are heading towards the same scenario, and we are so distracted with social media, work, and television that to do a realistic analysis about companies we buy services and products from is becoming too complex.
That’s when the idea hit me — an AI driven tool that helps anyone understand if the companies they buy from share their values. Not to make it overcomplicated, I decided that a browser (Chrome) extension could be the most user-friendly format, since analysis would be done without leaving the website you are already using, no need to copy the link and paste it into separate websites or apps.
Where we’re going
We still have a competitive market, a lot of corporations still compete with one another with the best possible products they can make, and the situation is far from the situation pictured in Cyberpunk, where few corporations dominate the world without being punished. There is a misconception that politics will regulate the market correctly. Power is in the hands of consumers. A good example is Metaverse by Meta. Once Meta (former Facebook) purchased the Oculus brand and went to ALL IN into VR technology, users refused to use VR technology on Meta’s terms, and it led to big losses of the company. The key principles of Oniriz are to help make decisions on supporting brands that they love beyond their products but also based on their values.
What I believe
Every business needs consumers to be profitable, and it’s simply logical that businesses with a healthy employee culture and responsible manufacturing principles have more expenses. Every purchase we make is a vote that we support not only the goods or services they deliver to users, but also means we support the work environment culture and manufacturing principles. And let’s make it clear, Oniriz is not a tool to encounter hate towards brands, it’s a tool to encounter support toward brands that share the same values as you do. We need to respect decisions that brands make; we need to respect consumers who support specific companies and their products. All businesses pay taxes, create workplaces, and already make a good impact on society. I strongly disagree with movements that lead to brands boycotting or even the destruction of some brand products.

Word from the ONIRIZ creator
Vilmantas
In an era of AI, people need to remember that companies can complete tasks with the help of AI, but they can’t replace customers with AI.
AI can perform tasks effectively, but the “call to action button” is still in the hands of humans.
